This course consists of approximately 45-50 minutes of training time and allows learners to explore the requirements of the Uniform Consumer Credit Code (UCCC) in regard to treating consumers fairly. The knowledge a learner will acquire from completing this course includes the purpose and coverage of the UCCC; the penalties for breaching the code; the types of documents and process steps required; and how to communicate clearly with customers.
It also deals with UCCC restrictions of disclosing interest rates; engaging in conduct which can be construed as false or misleading; harassing the customer; making home visits; and being imprudent in lending.
