The Learning Group makes the finals for the 2004 Computerworld Excellence Awards!
We submitted an entry for the web based orientation module that we completed for the University of Wollongong titled, “Getting started at UOW” and made it down to the 6 finalists in the Education category. The key challenge of this project was to build the orientation module to comply with W3C Web Accessibility standards whilst making the module interesting and interactive to learners.
As a result, The University of Wollongong is now able to deliver consistent orientation training across all campuses, regardless of location, technological capability and learner impairments. They have also saved time and resources as the learner is able to complete the course unaided, with full tracking and reporting available.
